"Let's believe HEROES" Bracelet

"Let's believe HEROES" Bracelet

Tiger & Bunny episode 24 drove me to this. In an attempt to not be exceptionally spoiler-ific, I will say that this banner/sash has its part to play. I'd wanted to turn it into a bracelet for a while now, so... it seemed like the appropriate time. There is a reason for the black band; it's supposed to be burned. Which is also the reason for the gold findings. High concept, I has it.

Call Bracelets

Call Bracelets

So. Um. ...I just had to do a mock-up of every single hero "call bracelet" from Tiger & Bunny for some reason. Left to right, top to bottom: Wild Tiger Green, Barnaby Brooks Jr. (Bunny) Red, Rock Bison Bronze, Origami Cyclone Gray, Dragon Kid Yellow, Sky High Purple, Blue Rose Blue, and Fire Emblem Orange. There's also a pink one in the making. Why pink? ...Why not pink?

They are all available as made-to-order bracelets over at my Etsy shop, in both single-sided versions and double-sided versions. Custom colors are also an option. If either of the listings ever "disappear", that's because I'm currently working on fulfilling an order; just drop me an Etsy message and I'll let you know when they're available again.

Bunny Bracelet

Bunny Bracelet

So, um... yes, a new addiction called Tiger & Bunny. A new addiction that treats me so well that it had to have a couple of awesome shinies made in its honor. The Great Enabler Schala-Kitty pushed some vector art on me (no, really!) of Wild Tiger's and Bunny's/Barnaby's suit insignias, and, well... I got to work doing them with no background to help me out. For I am a fool that way. But look at how shiny!

Bunny's insignia actually didn't give me nearly as much trouble as Tiger's... but getting the band to work out created its own challenges. So much for thinking it can ever be easy.

Black Tiger Call Bracelet

Black Tiger Call Bracelet

It was bound to happen eventually. I'm more than happy to make these along with the standard double-sided or single-sided call bracelets, but this particular one pictured is mine. Ahem.

(If you are new to, or do not know about, the Tiger & Bunny fandom, then Black Tiger is kind of a non-canon fan creation. A very, very good one.)

Touch of Triforce, take 2

Touch of Triforce, take 2

Not much to say here that I haven't already said. about the first version Plenty of little improvement tweaks to the netting design which would just be boring to talk about, but I continue to be disturbed wowed by the idea that I can still improve upon something I’ve done so many times.

Leather Sheikah Bracer Cuff

Leather Sheikah Bracer Cuff

The combination of an unpracticed hand and a new blade can at least have a sparkly result. It belongs in the "definitely, without a doubt, handmade" category, but I can't say I'm in the least bit disappointed with it. This was an experiment all the way through, from how the pattern was transferred (mild failure; the lines weren't deep enough, and blind cutting with a new blade IS NOT FUN), to cut, to the blending of paint and pigment. I think it turned out quite amazingly for all that it's been through (a.k.a. me), and the fact that I found a very rich red silk ribbon was the perfect touch. In case you can't tell, both the red and the white portions have incredible iridescent sparkle that changes with the light source. I know, me and sparkly.

While this piece was made as a semi-bracer/to cover the back of the hand, it works perfectly as a bracelet for the larger-wristed (which is not me, with my scrawny little wrist) or an arm band for any size. There are many possibilities when it comes to how to lace it, as well.

Leather Hylian Arm Cuff

Leather Hylian Arm Cuff

Alright, who didn't see this coming with my first real leather project? ...Okay, me, but it worked out somehow. Technically speaking, this is pretty awful. Learning by doing means making a lot of mistakes, and they're all here. That said... I managed to swing with it and turn it into something awesome, because mistakes are what lazy people call missed opportunities.

Yes, it's leather. Hand-tooled so that the crest rises slightly above the background, which the pictures... kind of do an okay job representing. (Pictures from the side all came out awful.) It is of course sparkly shiny gold, and rich semi-shiny green (the green extends to the back, as well). The ribbon is 100% silk and an earthy brown/dark bronze color. It's shaped so that it can fit just about any arm size, so no worries there. It's not recommended to be used as a wrist cuff, however, because that would require the leather to bend more, and that would more than likely crack the leather itself.

Hylian Royal Crest Corset Cuff

Hylian Royal Crest Corset Cuff

Ask me where my love of gaming began and I'll tell you a tale about a vicious little game called The Legend of Zelda. No matter how many times I had to put the controller down, I always came back. I don't think anything will ever overcome Ocarina of Time as my favorite, though.

And so somewhere along the line, for some INSANE AND STUPID reason, I decided to take on this monster. But damn it's shiny. The color scheme was inspired by one of FusedElegance's designs. The rest is... all me. All painfully me. From creating the pattern from several sources to the (obviously) actual beading and design... yeah. 3,014 individual glass beads, woven together individually by hand over the course of two weeks, and a silk ribbon that refuses to properly photograph in the gorgeously vibrant emerald color that it actually is. I am not doing this again unless I get paid, in full, first. Even if I do want to make a solid gold version on a black background.
